Popis a distribuce škod působených vytloukáním a vystrouháváním srnce obecného v lesních porostech
Růžička, Pavel
This bachelor thesis is about the description and distribution of damage caused by roe deer in the form of fraying and rubbing. The thesis has been divided into two parts, the first part deals with a general view of the issue and the second part is the actual research, which consisted of collecting data on fraying and rubbing in a pre-selected suitable location, including the following suggestions and recommendations for practice. The research was carried out using a system of strip transects and recording damage sites in their vicinity. The map outputs show the amount of damage, its location and the type of damage, these signs clearly indicate the locations and individual trees most frequently visited by roe deer. The analytical outputs mention the occurrence of the most frequently damaged trees and their morphometric data. The most frequently damaged tree species was the norway spruce. The resulting connection between 2 roebucks territory boundaries which were found, the damage caused, and human-made natural boundaries cannot be ignored.
Hospodářská a majetková trestná činnost v lesním hospodářství
Drápelová, Tereza
The bachelor thesis deals with economic and property crime in forestry. The thesis will be solved on the basis of analysis and subsequent synthesis of case law dealing with forestry crimes according to the most frequently identified types of crimes. The issue will be put into practice, when a questionnaire will be sent to the Ministry of Justice of the Czech Republic and also to individual forest enterprises and commercial companies, so that the thesis can also work with these answers. The draft part will also include a possible modification of the methodology for recording statistics on crimes in forestry.
Analýza lesnického hospodaření na vybrané lesní správě LČR, s. p.
Vanžura, Tomáš
The thesis deals with the evaluation of forest management with a focus on the economic efficiency of the selected Lanškroun Forestry Administration for the reference period of 2008-2016, according to the combined production performances and underperformances of growing and mining operations that form revenues, costs and the resulting operating profit. For a more accurate interpretation the results are recalculated to the individual sets of the forest types, which are represented in the Lanškroun Forestry Administration. The aim is to evaluate the economy and to design more efficient, accurate and responsible management, i.e. optimisation of revenues and costs. Static and dynamic methods of economic efficiency were used for the evaluation.
Forest evolution in Central Europe during the Holocene periode
Švábová, Barbora ; Šefrna, Luděk (advisor) ; Matějček, Tomáš (referee)
The work deals with the forest as an ecosystem where relationships take place, which are influenced by abiotic and biotic factors. Great attention is paid to the climate, which affects not only the distribution of biomes. Its constant changes have an impact on the species composition of forests and human society. By the effects of the climate, the Holocene period was divided into sub-stages. Man also played a significant role in the conversion of the central Europe forest and changes it even now. That is why this work devotes a considerable part of it to this influence. Great changes of the forest began with the emergence of agriculture, which was the first impulse for the beginning of deforestation. Examined are the ways of prehistoric and modern economy. With the loss of trees came an idea of protecting the forests. As an example of possible further effect on the forest, the influence of some pathogens is presented.
Population trends of forest birds in Czechia
Szarvas, Filip ; Reif, Jiří (advisor) ; Hofmeister, Jan (referee)
Currently, most scientific attention focused on bird population trends is centred on birds in the agricultural landscape. Forest bird research, on the other hand, is given far less space, despite the fact that forests in Europe often form a substantial part of the landscape in some parts. Moreover, it is undergoing drastic changes throughout Europe, and especially in the Czech Republic. In the second half of the 20th century, their quality deteriorated due to air pollution, later regenerated, but other additional challenges have emerged, such as global climate change and epidemics of wood-destroying insects. It is therefore possible to assume their fundamental influence on forest bird populations. However, most of the work examining the effects of the forest environment and forest management on bird populations is only very local, limited to ecologically valuable, and therefore quite specific, habitats, or covering only a small number of bird species. However, data on the evolution of forest birds vary across Europe. In Finland, for example, forest birds are declining, while in neighbouring Sweden the trend is the opposite. In this study, I aim to better map what characteristics of forests affect specific species of birds, in research conducted throughout the Czech Republic. I decided to explore...
